What it does not decide
It does not decide which drives appear. A drive is in a comparison because its listing publishes the figures the comparison needs, and for no other reason. Results are ordered by price tier and then alphabetically, never by what they pay.
It does not decide what the figures say. Baselines are computed across the whole class before anything is written, and a drive that sits badly against its own class is shown sitting badly against it.
